It only makes sense!
A whole new way to present the gospel. Put this one in your tool bag, but only if you plan on using it!

Weekend Prep
Well its Friday and I hope everyone made it in one piece.
I’m starting a new post on Fridays (or near the end of the week) to give you an idea what to expect the for the weekend. Hopefully you find this helpful, encouraging, and something to get you through the last few minutes of the work day. I promise I wont tell your boss.
Saturday night is going to be a momentous night (we hope) as we are going to try to go live streaming again. We now have the technology and have worked out some of the bugs. That means that we are starting a new series the same time Hutchinson will be starting. Your prayers are appreciated!!
The new series is called “Stretched”. Over the next three weeks we will be looking at “Stretching Upward”, “Stretching Outward”, and “Stretching Inward”.
Saturday night right after our worship service we are going to meet briefly about two mission opportunities. Both of them are on weekends, so they shouldn’t be anything that you will have to take off any time from work for. Stick around and find out more!
- April 17-18 for the women’s pampering night at the Friendship center in Iowa. We will leave Saturday and come back Sunday and make a huge impact in the process.
- June 18-20 we are going to Omaha, NE for the College World Series. This is a huge event and it’s the last year at the current stadium so it could mean a lot more visitors to Omaha. We will be doing a variety of service projects
but ultimately we want this to be a family event. One of the main things we will be doing is handing out water bottles to the very thirsty fans outside the stadium that have the plan of salvation on them (the true thirst quencher).
If you haven’t been to YouVersion yet, you should really try it out. YouVersion is an online Bible software program that will help you as you dig into God’s word.
We hope you’ve found yourself spending valuable time with God’s word this year. You can start a reading plan at any time: http://www.youversion.com/reading-plans/all. If you’ve already signed up for a plan, here are some handy tips for the times when you start falling behind:
- Build yourself a support system. Sign up for accountability emails (friendly updates on your progress that get sent to you or a friend) by logging in at http://www.youversion.com/ and adjusting the settings for your reading plan.
- If you’re several days behind, just start with current day’s reading and make up what you missed later.
- Do your daily reading on your phone before you get out of bed in the morning.
- Try reading in several short sessions instead of one long stretch. Reading a small amount in the morning, on your lunch break, and before bed might be ideal for you.
- Use your down time by reading the Bible on your phone whenever you’re waiting in line, for an appointment, at the airport, or while your kids are at soccer practice.
- Don’t forget about the audio Bible that’s available on YouVersion.com. You can listen to your reading anytime you’re near your computer.
See you this Weekend at CrossPoint

Grow Group Questions 2-6-10
Lordship
Start out by discussing your thoughts on this week’s sermon.
Read Romans 10:9, What does it mean to really COME to Jesus? What is the “born again” experience look like?
Can we come to Jesus several times in our journey of becoming like and growing closer to Christ?
Describe a time in your life when you felt God drawing you to him?
What does it mean to you to let Jesus be the Lord of your life?
Read Luke 6: 46-49, What are some important things Jesus tells us to put into practice?
Discuss the Great Commission and Great Commandment.
If Jesus is Lord of our lives then the Holy Spirit will encourage us to be mission minded. Pick something to do as a group in the next month in regards to community outreach.
Also, if you feel comfortable please share ways that you can hold each other accountable in your daily walk with Christ.
The Story after the Story
This is a great account of Peter’s life that is historically recorded outside of the Bible that confirms the stories in the Bible. This is a great testament to Peter’s belief in who Jesus really is. It’s only about 6 min. long, so sit back and enjoy:
